Shopping for an 11th birthday

Today we travelled the city to shop for pressies for our soon to be 11 year old.

It was fun and pretty stress free (husband was working so that probably helped) we found clothes & shoes and accessories...

Now I am keen to sit and read and have some quite time as I have been fighting off a flu/virus the last few days and have very achy head and back.

Well Indy was all packed, (about 2 weeks ago) and set off for camp. Tonight she would have gone on the ghost tour!!!!

As you can see below Indy and her friends were all very excited!!!!

School camp

This week has seen us packing Indy all ready for a 2 night school camp.

She is super excited!!!

I am my usual self of happy to see her growing up and continuing to amaze me with her strength and determination and down right awesomeness, but am also nervous and worried about her being away from home, and hoping like mad that it all goes smoothly!!!

I am sure all will be fine, (fingers crossed)!

I know owls have been the cute sweet & popular item for quite a while now- along with baby animals and Forrest creatures BUT I just LOVE owls.

I always have they just look so wise and happy to be who they are.

Happy Wednesday folks!!
I can't believe how quickly time is flying by at the moment!!
In my rebellion of just wanting to make some different things this week I have completed my button lampshade!

Next on the list is a new quilt front - for the couch pile to keep us cosy with the cold snap we are having.

I Love my older quilts, as do the kiddies, as they are well loved and soft & warm but I like to add a new one or two to the group each winter...., will see how I go this year.

Thank you to all of the supportive folk about today - there was a pattern of lots of NS welsh people today - escaping the wet no doubt!!

I truly love my Saturday's at market - I always have - my sister and I used to enjoy being a stall holder way back when, must be 20 years ago and it is a place I have always enjoyed coming back to.

Tonight I am dreaming and thinking all things quilting- I do really really enjoy making products for the silver nutmeg range but I do LOVE my quilting and have not done much for almost 6 months. I think my withdrawals are no longer willing to be pushed aside and I think it's time to put in some hours at my quilting machine!! ( you know that means buying more fabric- joy!!)

Let's see if I can start including some quilting time into my mix.....
