I had a little nut tree, nothing would it bare but a silver nutmeg, and a golden pear; The King of Spain's daughter came to visit me, And all for the sake of my little nut tree. Her dress was made of crimson, jet black was her hair, She asked me for my nut tree and my golden pear. I said, "So fair a princess never did I see, I'll give you all the fruit from my little nut tree. Vintage inspired accessories, children's clothing & toys.

another week has passed already......
I cant believe its already March tomorrow- I have so much I need to get busy with for upcoming markets- so many new projects that have been half made or now need multiples produced for hopefully a busy market time!
Have been busy family times for us with everyone having lots on and as all mums will know this means extra busy times for me!!
I hope everyone is enjoying the days and I look forward to catching up soon!!
Oh I just couldn't resist Oskar's awesome owl- think this will be used to inspire for a pattern for more owl softies!! Much to his delight- as long as he gets to keep the pro-to type -is always the case with my new products!!

race day....
raty & moley messing about in boats...
We weren't in boats but were instead playing with paper boats- we had decided earlier in the week to head out to our fav creek and have a boat race!!
one of the favourites to win the race today the BFG...
the whistle blew and they were off...
it looked like we had an earlier leader...
but then the rapids struck and a few boats became casualties...all crew survived with nothing more than a few bruised ego's....
and we had a clear winner- Oskar's boat which had sat back in the field and only powered on after easing through the rapids and continued on - there was a rumour that advanced technology had secretly gone into design and construction with the bottom of the boat made 100% of plastic to aid with water proofing - quite clearly a design master compared to our 100% paper constructions!!!
we all got over that quickly enough and continued on to discover the joys of rock jumping- and slipping!!
and you just cant beat a grand event of rock throwing- which if dad wasn't playing Oskar seemed to excel at also...
sooo photogenic - unlike me!!!
oskar found this heart shaped rock and gave it to me "cos I can use it while my heart is sad at the moment" - aawwwhhhh- he gets me!!
I love rocks! Love the randomness of nature.
testing out the functions of my little play camera...
so in the end we all had a marvelous time and left our fav spot feeling refreshed and happy!!- Headed off for some yummy lunch and book shop browsing then home again.
Hope everyone had a great day also!

my bags of goodies.......goodie goodie gum drop
Bags of goodies - some pics so far....
well the whole sitting around doing nothing but thinking about the last few days was driving me insane so off to the workshop/studio, messy room, whatever, it was for me......the result a lot of cutting [for both the bags of goodies and other projects soon to be created] AND my bags of goodies were completed- well about 8, with a few more to come- say about 20 hmm plenty of time for that hey!! - YAH!
They are really cute- I think so and my littlies love em I hope others will too!- they are fully reversible and constructed from a range of designer fabrics and made to be very durable and to last well - I now how rough my kiddies are on things!!! And they have a great mix of cool kid stuff inside .....pics and tags still to come for those.

busy busy busy.....how time fly's when your having fun
Today was such a nice day in Hobart with tomorrow supposed to be in the 30's again woohoo!!! Might just be a beach trip involved....
We have all been busy making paper boats here- paper boats? Yep it was declared about a week ago that a family challenge was needed so we all settled on a paper boat race at our fav creek with a picnic in tow....and the camera to catch all the action!
And I’m telling you a lot of work and time has gone into our boats- some are like a lot of pretty things great to look at but I’m just not so sure they will be too useful and might not survive the creek trip!! I will post some pics later to show and tell all the action!
I have had a migraine for the last few days and as a result can’t spend too long at the pc :(
BUT I have had a chance to clean out the studio and it’s starting to look lovely and organised again ready for all the action that needs to take part in there for the upcoming market and store requests.
I have plenty of new things on the go- always the way with me as I tend to get bored with the same old same old and am often awake in the wee hours jotting ideas, sketching out designs, and colour matches and fabric types etc for new exciting projects. A down side of still working part time and having such a busy family life is that my time actually available to spent converting my ideas into produce takes forever sometimes!! I have folders and folders of designs and projects I want to make up both for home and for the business side of things.
Never the less I have decided that instead of getting overwhelmed by it all to choose one or two new things for each event- so my next items will include more of a range of children’s items in particular boy things- much to my sons delight- and I am very excited about the choices I've picked from my ideas book as they are something I have been making for my kids and family and friends children's for quite some time- since my eldest was young that’s over 10 years!!! and have been wanting to get the production of these kicked into gear for markets so I think I will test them out at the next few markets and see how they go- I will get some pics up when I have more than tunnel vision going on and have some cool stuff to show....

my creative place
Yah I have received some fantastic deliveries over the last few days from my trustie postie- makes me very happy :) I have lots to play with tomorrow for my scheduled "fun work" day- you know the one that you do because you love it not because you're paid to.
A bit cynical today - it was a particularly tough day with no doubts a few more like it ahead so will be nice to have some good distractions.
so much work......... so little time
I love this old picture it kind of makes me realise no matter how busy we get we have such great lives with so many amazing opportunities available to us...

the barn market......such a beautiful market spot
This is a truly magical setting for a market- every part of it was fun-
the organizers Miriam and Helen were/are amazing and went out of their way to ensure everyone was okay and traveling well through out the day-
there was a real feeling of being a part of this market and being treated like they were truly happy to have you there as a stall holder and I think this helped the day be such a success -
if you ever get a chance to attend either as a stall holder or as a visitor I can not recommend it highly enough- thanks so much girls.
this ones for you rosie!!!
and me at about 2:55 pm ready for sleep just missing my fav pj's oh and someone else to pack up my stall!!!
have a look at some great pics of the Barn Market from Tim at this link for pics The Barn Market (Set)

never too many bags.......
back to school has happened- littlies back for 2 whole days now- so proud- even though they were both full time last year it is still such a huge event each year and is really like starting a new job with a new classroom, a new teacher, new rules, a new group of class mates.....we can sometimes forget just how much we ask of our kiddies and often take for granted that they will just "adapt" cos they're kids- yet we know we would struggle with so much change all at once.....
And oldest returned today with "all being good" apparently.
Have made little miss a new home reader bag - which am thinking I might need one for my portable sewing supplies I tend to carry with me I think after such a full on 2009 we are all looking forward to a great year ahead- i hope ;)
